Summer in the Garden 2012
“A Journey to Napa Valley”
July 21, 2012
Sit back and relax with a glass of wine as you dream of this summer and creating your own wine cellar. At this year’s Summer in the Garden, you will spend the day constructing a personal wine cellar, complete with stone floor, stuccoed wall, tiled niche, wine barrel rack, 50-bottle wine bottle rack and other hints of Napa Valley, California.
Included are a pre-constructed 10 x 13 x 4” box, complete with acrylic front, “tile” for the niche in the back wall, the wine barrels, materials for the easy-to-make wine bottle rack, flooring and pre-stained wood trim.
You will paint the back wall, make the rack for the wine barrels, cut out the niche and line with the “tile,” make the surround for the black wine rack insert, and install the celling beam, baseboard trim and other wood trim on back wall.
You will receive, so you can add your own touches at home, a sheet with wine bottle and crate labels as well as posters, and instructions to make the wine press.
Available for purchase the day of the workshop to help your personalize your wine cellar will be stained and labeled crates filled with grapes as well as empty crates, a wine-filled wooden bucket, and corkscrews.
You will be responsible for purchasing your own wine bottles and glasses.
We fully anticipate completion of the project.
